My journey with Patrick’s Kids Foundation!

My name is Joël Zidor, and I am on the brink of a significant milestone-graduating with a degree in Administrative Sciences from the Public University of the South in Les Cayes (UPSAC). This academic journey has been a transformative one, instilling in me a strong foundation in rigor, perseverance, and commitment. The experiences I've had have not only enriched my personal and professional growth but also served as a testament to the potential for growth within each of us. Among these experiences, my involvement with Patrick's Kids Foundation (PKF) stands out as a pivotal moment.

It began when my high school principal at HCDF’s L’Exode Christian Schools, contacted by PKF, recommended me for their scholarship program due to my academic performance and behavior. This opportunity opened the door to a foundation that has continued to invest in my future.

PKF's support has been a beacon of hope and opportunity, extending far beyond financial aid. The foundation has provided me with invaluable training, mentorship, and engaging activities, all of which have fueled my ambitions and strengthened my skills. But the most significant aspect of PKF's impact has been its emphasis on community involvement. Leading the "Garder Fond-des-Blancs Belle" (Keep Fond-des-Blancs Beautiful) project was a highlight, as it not only honed my leadership, project management, and communication skills but also allowed me to make a tangible difference in the community. Internships and entrepreneurship programs further shaped my professional path, reinforcing my decision to study administrative sciences and deepening my commitment to Haiti's social and economic development. Academically, PKF's support allowed me to excel while building discipline, confidence, and intellectual curiosity.

As I stand on the threshold of a new chapter in my life, I am filled with gratitude for the profound foundation it has laid for my journey. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the foundation's team, partners, and volunteers, whose unwavering support has been instrumental in my personal and professional growth. To my fellow beneficiaries, both present and future: seize every opportunity, believe in your potential, and remember to give back to your community.
