International Development (Intern)
This is our International Development Internship position where you will participate in all aspects of the organization’s operations. Main tasks include assisting in the development and implementation of new educational programs, securing funding from grants and fundraising events, planning and executing social media campaigns, and facilitating the recruitment and onboarding of new volunteers. This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to gain comprehensive, first-hand experience in non-profit and on-the-ground development work. As an internship, this position is more time intensive. Please be ready to commit at least 10 hours per week (remote and flexible based on your availability) for a minimum term of 3 months. Receive a letter of recommendation and/or certificate of appreciation upon completion of the internship. Responsibilities: * Assist with project management, including coordinating activities, setting timelines, and tracking progress. * Collaborate with the team to create educational program materials and resources. * Recruit, schedule, and assign volunteers to appropriate departments, supervisors, and/or mentors. * Assist with the planning and management of PKF #GivingTuesday and year-end fundraising efforts. * Work with the fundraising team to identify and approach significant donors from both corporate and individual sectors. * Research and identify grant opportunities based on funding amount needed, location, and organization project * Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create social media content. * Monitor analytics and provide insights to optimize communication strategies. Requirements: * Passion for the mission and vision of Patrick's Kids Foundation. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software. * Previous experience in nonprofit management or related fields (preferred but not required).
The Program Development Volunteer will assist in the development and implementation of new educational initiatives for Patrick's Kids Foundation, including but not limited to summer internship, technology, college prep, and entrepreneurship programming. Your work will directly contribute to on-the-ground activities for scholars in Haiti. Responsibilities: * Conduct research on child development and welfare programs. * Assist in designing program frameworks and strategies. * Collaborate with the team to create program materials and resources. * Support the evaluation and monitoring of program effectiveness. * Help organize and facilitate workshops, events, and activities for children. * Provide administrative support as needed. Requirements: * A genuine passion for helping underprivileged children and a commitment to the mission and values of Patrick’s Kids Foundation * Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with excellent attention to detail. * Experience in nonprofit management, education or a related field is desirable but not mandatory. * Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. * Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite and social media platforms.
The Fundraising Coordinator will be responsible for leading fundraising efforts to increase brand awareness and ultimately grow our community of donors. The objective is to spread our message and encourage our community of supporters to make donations to PKF by using any appropriate digital marketing outlets (website, blog, newsletter, etc.) and/or social media channels to promote active fundraising campaigns, encouraging public support. Responsibilities: * Assist with the planning and management of PKF year-long fundraising initiatives. * Collaborate with other volunteers on #GivingTuesday and year-end fundraising efforts. * Work with the fundraising team to prospect and solicit major and corporate donors. * Identify potential business partners as sponsors. * Help increase communications with supporters and current donors. * Develop an annual fundraising plan. * Contribute creative ideas for new fundraising opportunities. Requirements: * Ability to build strong relationships with new people, businesses, and organizations. * Ability to use online tools to engage members, donors, and corporate partners. * Nonprofit fundraising and/or event planning experience (preferred) * Clear understanding of the unique needs of nonprofit organizations. * Micro influencer with fundraising portfolio and large social media network is an asset.
Grant Writing and Research
The Grant Writer will be responsible for identifying grant opportunities and managing the grant development and proposal process. Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a professional and resourceful demeanor, the ability to work both independently and as a team player, and a desire to take initiative and manage numerous projects simultaneously. Responsibilities: Research and identify grant opportunities based on funding amount needed, location, and organization project Complete and submit grant applications to secure funding Maintain chart of grant applications: including grants applied to, the status of application, grant deadline Perform prospect research on foundations and corporations to evaluate prospects for corporate and foundation grants Comply with all grant reporting as required by foundation/corporate donors Maintain current records in a database and in paper files, including grant tracking and reporting Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, email marketing, and CRM tools (preferred) Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and presentation skills Experience with sourcing opportunities, cold-calling, contact development, and business relationship management Detail-oriented, adaptable, organized, and demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and tasks Demonstrated experience in obtaining grants from non-profits, charities, and other philanthropic organizations (preferred)
Communications and Social Media
The Communications and Social Media Volunteer to lead in promote Patrick’s Kids Foundation’s mission, activities, and impact through effective communication and social media strategies. As a volunteer, you will play a key role in the creation and promotion of PKF’s social media content, as well as managing social accounts, and optimizing communication and outreach. Responsibilities: * Create engaging content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.). * Assist in maintaining the organization’s website by updating content and news articles. * Support the development of marketing materials, such as brochures and newsletters. * Manage social media accounts, including posting, monitoring, and responding to * messages. * Assist in developing and implementing a social media content calendar. * Write blog posts, newsletters, and press releases. * Conduct research on best practices for digital marketing and social media engagement. * Monitor analytics and provide insights to optimize communication strategies. Requirements: * A genuine passion for helping underprivileged children and a commitment to the mission and values of Patrick’s Kids Foundation * Excellent organizational and time management skills. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite, social media platforms, and an understanding of CRM and SEO. * Previous experience in nonprofit management, marketing, copywriting, social media strategizing, fundraising, or event coordination is a plus. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking initiative when required.
Patrick's Foundation is seeking a passionate and creative Graphic Design Volunteer to contribute to our mission of creating a positive impact in our community. As a Graphic Design Volunteer, you will play a key role in developing visually appealing and engaging designs for various promotional materials, event posters, social media graphics, and website content. Responsibilities: * Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to understand design requirements and objectives. * Create compelling and innovative designs that align with Patrick's Foundation's brand identity and mission. * Develop graphics for promotional materials, including brochures, flyers, banners, and advertisements. * Design eye-catching event posters to generate interest and participation. * Produce captivating visuals for social media platforms, ensuring consistent branding across all channels. * Assist in creating website content, including illustrations, infographics, and other graphical elements. * Stay up to date with design trends and industry best practices to continuously improve the quality of our designs. * Work closely with team members to ensure timely delivery of design projects. Patrick's Foundation is seeking a passionate Volunteer Coordinator will administer all aspects of the organization’s volunteer program including recruiting, training, and supervising new volunteers. Responsibilities: * Communicates with all departments of the organization to identify available opportunities and needs for volunteers. * Recruits volunteer staff to fit these roles using a variety of resources and techniques. * Gathers information about each volunteer’s skills, availability, and goals; matches volunteers with appropriate opportunities based on this data. * Schedules, coordinates and assigns volunteers to appropriate departments, supervisors, and/or mentors. * Regularly communicates with volunteers to ensure the placement is a good fit for the individual’s skills and goals. * Maintains files, records, applications, and other data concerning the volunteer program. * Drafts, maintains, and publishes guidelines, best practices, and procedures for volunteer programs. * Coordinates volunteer recognition and appreciation events and activities.
