Grateful Beginnings: My College Journey and the Power of Support

My name is Chrislin Honoré, a first-year student in the Faculty of Computer Science at the Episcopal University of Haiti (UNEPH) Business and Technology Institute (BTI). After completing my formal studies in August 2024, I decided to fully commit to pursuing my academic and professional ambitions. My first year of university in computer science: a path traced by education and commitment. Joining PKF in 2020 marks a significant milestone in my career. It marks the beginning of a deep commitment to a mission that is dear to my heart and of support that has given me the strength and resources to move forward with confidence. The year 2024 marked a pivotal moment in my life. After completing my formal studies in August, I embarked on a new adventure by joining the university to pursue a degree in computer science. This field, which has always fascinated me, motivates me to explore, learn, and undertake exciting challenges.

However, this transition would not have been as rewarding without the invaluable support of Patrick's Kids Foundation (PKF). This organization plays a central role in my personal and academic development. Joining PKF has been an exceptional opportunity. This organization is not limited to its philanthropic goals; it is also a driving force of inspiration and transformation for young people like me. Thanks to PKF, I benefited from valuable resources, a stimulating environment, and invaluable guidance, which enabled me to approach this new stage of my life with confidence. PKF has not only equipped me with the skills and resources to succeed in my studies, but it has also instilled in me a deep commitment to community service. Through its activities, such as summer internships, weekly Khan Academy classes, and community service projects, I have developed practical skills like leadership and project management, strengthened my discipline, and cultivated a spirit of collaboration. Each experience within the organization has enriched my worldview and motivated me to become a better version of myself. This first year of university represents not only academic progress but also a deepening of my aspirations, supported by an organization that believes in my potential. Thanks to PKF, I am determined to give back to my community for all I have received, and I am committed to making a positive impact.

As I continue on my journey, I am filled with immense gratitude to those who have helped me chart my path. I am proud to be both a computer science student and an active member of PKF, two facets that, together, are shaping my future. I am deeply grateful for the support and guidance that PKF has provided, and I am committed to making the most of the opportunities it has afforded me.
