Francois Jacques Memorial Scholarship:

The Francois Emmanuel Jacques (FEJ) Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the life well lived of FEJ. FEJ was a devoted husband, a loving father, an affectionate grandfather and a fiercely loyal friend, with a legendary work ethic. FEJ was an extremely compassionate gentle giant, who instilled staunch values of education, pursuing knowledge and achieving excellence in spite of one’s circumstances. Mr. Jacques left Haiti with only a third grade education and managed to raise four community minded college graduates with bachelor degrees or higher. The road was not always easy nor were resources readily available, but his will and desire to excel were tenacious. As such, it is our hope that the recipient of the Francois Emmanuel Jacques Memorial Scholarship will value and emulate the qualities that he exuded and continue his proud legacy.
